Services — Lux AutoHause

Not a $100 oil change.
Not even close.

Our oil changes start at $240 for a standard 5-quart service with an OE filter. That's not a typo, and we're not apologizing for it. You're getting the correct oil for your specific engine, an OE-grade filter, and a technician who knows the difference between BMW LL-01 and whatever generic synthetic the shop down the street pours.

The correct oil for your engine.
Not whatever's on sale.

Every manufacturer publishes oil specifications for a reason. BMW LL-01, LL-04, and LL-17 exist because BMW tested and validated specific viscosities and additive packages for their engines. VW 502, 504, 508, and 509. Mercedes-Benz 229.5 and 229.52. Porsche A40. These aren't marketing labels — they're engineering specifications that determine how your engine wears over time. Meeting them is not optional.

Liqui-Moly for European Vehicles
We stock Leichtlauf 5W-40, Top Tec 4200 5W-30, Top Tec 6200 0W-20, and Top Tec 6600 0W-20. Liqui-Moly holds OEM approvals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group, and Porsche — not just generic ACEA ratings. If your application requires a specification we don't stock on the shelf, we special order it. We don't substitute a "close enough" oil.
Idemitsu for Domestic & Japanese Vehicles
Idemitsu oils meet the API, ILSAC, and JASO specifications required by Honda, Toyota, Subaru, and other Japanese and domestic platforms. The same standard applies: correct specification for your specific engine, not a universal synthetic that technically passes the minimum bar. Japanese engines in particular benefit from oils formulated to their manufacturer's requirements.
Manufacturer Specifications We Follow
BMW LL-01, LL-04, LL-17 · VW 502.00, 504.00, 508.00, 509.00 · Mercedes-Benz 229.5, 229.52, 229.6 · Porsche A40 · Land Rover STJLR.51.5122 · Volvo VCC-RBS0-2AE · JASO DL-1 · API SP / SN Plus · ILSAC GF-6A/B. If your vehicle has a specification, we know what it is and we stock or order accordingly.
Special Orders — No Substitutions
Some applications require oils that aren't stocked at most shops — specific Porsche, older BMW M engines, or certain Land Rover variants. We order what's required. The alternative — using a different oil because it's available — is not acceptable to us. This is one of the reasons we schedule oil changes rather than taking walk-ins. Parts are confirmed before the appointment.

The filter matters
as much as the oil.

Your oil filter is the only thing standing between your engine oil and the contaminants it picks up during normal operation. A low-quality filter with inadequate bypass pressure ratings or inferior filtration media undermines every dollar you spent on the oil itself. We use OE-grade filters across all applications — no exceptions.

Mann, Mahle, Hengst — European OEM Suppliers
Mann+Hummel, Mahle, and Hengst supply filters to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group, and other European OEMs directly. When you buy a "BMW filter" from a dealer, it's often Mann or Mahle in OEM packaging. We install the same filter without the dealer markup. These filters meet the exact media specification, bypass valve rating, and construction requirements the manufacturer set.
AC Delco & OE for Domestic & Japanese
For GM, Ford, and Chrysler platforms we use AC Delco or genuine OEM filters. For Japanese vehicles we use OEM or the equivalent manufacturer-approved filter. We don't use house-brand filters from any supplier. The cost difference between a Wix and a Mann filter is a few dollars. The performance difference over 100,000 miles of use is not.
◆  Not Microgard. Not Wix. Not Service Pro. Those filters are in $100 oil changes for a reason — the margin has to come from somewhere.

The parts quick lube shops
skip or reuse.

The parts that seem trivial are often where the problems start. A reused crush washer that fails three months later. An overtorqued drain plug that strips the threads in an aluminum oil pan. A missing O-ring on a filter housing that seeps for 10,000 miles before anyone notices. We stock the hardware to do the job properly the first time.

Drain Plugs & Crush Washers
We maintain a large inventory of drain plugs and crush washers across European, domestic, and Japanese applications. Crush washers are single-use — they deform on installation to create a seal. Reusing them is a shortcut that leads to seepage. On aluminum pans, we use a torque wrench. Every time. The thread repair on a stripped oil pan is a multi-hour job that crush washer saved.
Factory Seals & O-Rings
Many European oil filter housings use O-rings or gaskets that should be replaced with every oil change. Some quick lube shops don't stock them. Some don't replace them even if they have them. We stock the seals for every application we service. If the filter housing requires a new O-ring, it gets a new O-ring. A small seep from a filter housing looks minor until it coats your exhaust and becomes a smell and a fire risk.

Scheduled. Confirmed.
Done right.

We don't do same-day walk-in oil changes. When you book with us, your oil specification is confirmed, your filter is confirmed, and any vehicle-specific hardware is either in stock or ordered before your appointment. You're not waiting in a bay while someone runs to the parts store for a crush washer.

Parts Confirmed Before You Arrive
When you book, we look up your vehicle's oil specification, confirm filter fitment, and verify drain plug hardware in advance. If your application requires something we don't stock — a specific Porsche specification, a low-production European variant — we order it before your appointment. There are no delays on the day of service and no substitutions.
If You Want Fast and Cheap, That's Not Us
There are places built for high-volume quick oil changes. We're not one of them. We're a diagnostic-first shop that applies the same standard to an oil change that we apply to a clutch replacement or an engine rebuild. If correct matters more than fast, we're the right shop. If you're in a hurry and any oil will do, there are options for that — we'd just rather be honest about it.

Same standard.
Every service.

All oil change services are backed by our 3-year/36,000-mile warranty — the same warranty that covers every other repair we perform. We can offer it because we use quality products and we do the job correctly the first time.
